Intern Spotlight

ISAAC delves deeper than the head knowledge of breaking racial and gender boundaries by sending an Asian-American male like me to an African-American church with a predominantly female leadership board. From my ISAAC internship meetings, I have been learning that humbly serving my mom through cooking and housework plays a significant role in what it takes to become a responsible man who supports, protects, understands, and loves his possibly future spouse. Overall, I admire Rev. Young Hertig’s acts of true spiritual fellowship (Acts 2:42) when she gathers all of her ISAAC interns at her home, in which all of the ISAAC interns continually devote themselves to Rev. Hertig’s teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.
