Gender Summit 2

March 21, 2019

The 2019 Gender Summit 2 expanded to a three-day event and explored Women & Biblical Traditions. Asian American women and Latina scholars shared hermeneutical traditions surrounding women in the Bible. Theologians and pastors also discussed the state of gender quality in their respective fields.

Background

We organized the annual Gender Summit over three years with the goal of empowering Asian American women and Latina faith leaders in ministry as part of ISAAC’s project “Imagining A More Equal Pulpit.” The Gender Summit was funded by a three-year Louisville Institute grant awarded to ISAAC in 2017.
